Key appointments to Foresight Metering; Daniel Reilly as Business Development Director and Richard Rose as Chief Financial Officer

Foresight Metering Limited (“Foresight Metering”), one of the UK’s leading meter asset providers (“MAP”) to a wide range of energy suppliers, is pleased to announce the appointment of both Daniel Reilly as Business Development Director and Richard Rose as Chief Financial Officer.
Daniel has recently joined Foresight Metering. He is responsible for developing new propositions and products, which build on the strong relationships that Foresight Metering has developed over the last 10 years and their expertise in asset provision and finance. Daniel has held a number of Sales and Marketing leadership roles within the UK energy sector and is well placed to support our customers in maximising the opportunity presented by the SMART meter programme and in leveraging emerging technologies in support of their acquisition and retention objectives.
Daniel has worked for Regus and E.ON and emerging energy suppliers, helping to build and develop customer acquisition and retention strategies. He has experience in leading business transformation and optimisation programmes to achieve growth targets; he has recruited, trained and led large sales and marketing teams.
Richard joined Foresight Metering in autumn 2018. Richard has an economics and accountancy background and has worked in the international water and energy markets for the last two decades. He spent nine years at Thames Water Plc and American Water Corp. in Corporate Finance, Project Finance and Treasury oriented roles, followed by eight years at Npower Plc in both operational and Group Finance Controllership roles up to Executive Committee level.
More recently Richard spent several years with the Extra Group as the Group CFO in an Executive Team with responsibilities for Energy and Non-Energy assets in Germany, Cyprus, UK and Israel. He has extensive experience with financial control and performance management, coupled with corporate finance expertise and associated capital market activity.
Foresight Metering was launched to disrupt the energy metering market, offering innovative financing solutions and transparent risk management to help households and energy suppliers with the rollout of smart meters. It has a ten -year track record of funding smart meter installation in the UK, having to date invested into circa 320,000 smart gas and electricity meters across the UK within both domestic and non-domestic energy suppliers.
Foresight Metering is hosting a programme of regular Smart focused events at its London offices this year, to assist energy suppliers (both large and small) and key stakeholders with untangling the challenges of smart meter roll outs to December 2020 and beyond. Themes include the roll out of SMETS2 meters, what is possible beyond the meter and insights into the power of data.
